BTB Art presents the Kaesong Collection: an one-of-a-kind collection of premium quality Korean art works. It is acquired in the most isolated country in the world: North Korea. An abundant choice of hidden treasures, containing the finest contemporary and modern oil paintings, watercolors and drawings. They are produced by Korean artists, like Jong Chang Mo, Son U Yong, Rim Ryul, Tak Hyo Yeon, Kim Sung Hui, Kim Song Min and numerous others. Among them are several reward winners at worldwide exhibitions kept in Asian countries. They are commonly acclaimed in South Korea, China, Japan, The Philippines and Thailand. The Kaesong Collection was named after the city of Kaesong, recognized for its cultural heritage and market. The collection was developed by determining the artistic worth of the works, for that reason propagandist and overly politicized works were prevented. Specialists from both Sotheby's and the British Museum describe the Kaesong Collection as being 'crucial cultural heritage of North Korea'. Functions of North Korean artists can also be found at the British Museum in London.
